Thursday, May 2nd, the Varsity Baseball team beat Walled Lake Western by a score of 8 - 1. Joey Swartz earned the win on the mound going the distance striking out 5 WLW hitters, Joey was also 2 for 4 at the plate. Ryan Johnson was 2 - 2 with 2 RBI and a walk, Carter Travis was 1 - 2 with a double and two runs scored and Jack Miller was 1 - 2 with an RBI to lead the Lakeland offense.
The win moves the Eagles record to 13 - 5 overall and 11 - 1 in the LVC. They next take the field Saturday in a doubleheader with South Lyon East at Eagle Park. First pitch is 10AM.
