Wednesday May 1st, the boys volleyball program started their May hosting their 3rd of 4 slate of conference games. The Lakeland Boys are in the MiBoysVB Detroit West Conference, bringing in Farmington, North Farmington, Walled Lake Central, and Walled Lake Northern. Coming in at 3-0 so far in conference matches, the Eagles were matched up against fellow undefeated Farmington, North Farmington, and Walled Lake Northern.

First of the day, the Eagles faced the undefeated Falcons. The boys were challenged to think quickly, read, react, and recover. In a competitive back and forth match from start to finish, the defense remained strong, and offense was very well spread by setter Zach Dobrin, and the boys finished on top with the set scores of 28-26 and 25-21.

Next, the boys squared off against the North Farmington Raiders. Strong serve consistency, and block coverage played a huge part in the Eagles success once again finishing with the win with the set scores of 25-16 and 25-14.

Finally, the Eagles closed the night with a Bogie Lake Battle vs the Knights. The boys kept control on their side of the court between passing, composure, and playing smart, and closed the night with a 6-0 sweep winning 25-7 and 25-19 against Walled Lake Northern.

Leading the Eagles for the night were junior Joey Beck with 6 aces and 10 kills, junior Harrison Vivier with 3 blocks, junior Jacob Valenton with 20 digs, and sophomore Zach Dobrin with 18 assists.

Final round of conference games are scheduled for this Wednesday, May 8th at Walled Lake Central where the boys hope to finish their historic run on top vs the home school and the Farmington Falcons.
